Exactly, and I'm saying this as a Democrat who thought the "Centrist" route was the way to go last year. I was wrong. Trying to appeal to soft Republican voters got us into this mess, and it sure as Hell won't get us out of it.

It didn’t. White people had too much misogynoir & comfortable apathy & we didn’t register enough committed voters to counteract it. But people voting for Jill Stein sure didn’t help.
