Also, scrolling suggestions inside of search boxes drive me insane. Last time I tried to use InstaCart, that feature alone, plus all of the other sensory noise they blast users with, made me just abandon their site and try somewhere else. I cannot focus on shopping when stuff moves on the screen.
This is 100% the main reason why I use an ad blocker. I'm not sure if it's my ADHD or what, but it's the most distracting thing. Even when I can "put up with it," I feel my blood pressure rising the whole time. Or, I notice it afterward.
Oh well, time to find out if any of these companies are at least respecting "preference for limited motion" in their CSS. Doubtful, though. As if any of my fellow JS framework devs know that exists, since it's not a component.
