Man, why must my office space be so echo-y? Makes it incredibly annoying to record some decent-sounding audio.

I'm guessing it's not exactly the ideal place to put up some acoustic foam either?
Acoustic foam could theoretically work, but I'd probably need a lot of it.
It's also distracting af. I worked at a game studio with 20 foot high ceilings and the walls only went up half way between the team rooms. With 200 people banging on plastic instruments, it became impossible to concentrate and much of the staff hit burnout.
Hang a giant beach towel with a tiger on it.
Have you tried throwing a blanket or something over yourself and your mic?
Yes I have, and so far that's been one of the better solutions, but it's had its annoying catches too.
Like getting hot and hard to breathe?
I'm not that phase of my next video yet, to clarify. Just been trying to find some solutions, and there hasn't been one yet that hasn't had some kind of annoying catch (or just outright didn't work).
I have a potential solution I learned from another YouTuber. Try drapping a blanket over yourself while recording audio. It might help reduce the echo and noise reduction on Audacity could do the rest if necessary
I have tried that before, it's just awkward having a blanket over myself and my mic in a way where I can still see what I'm reading on my monitor.
