Just a thought. They're guarding the green crosswalk with 7 police officers. It would be trivially easy for a chalk-equipped group of civic-minded citizens to drop by each of the red-circled crosswalks in turn.

Talk is cheap. This is probably the only part of me that wishes I lived in Florida. A cop car fits, comfortably, 2 officers and 3 detainees. 3-5 cop cars is 15 detainees and 10 officers. It would take 30 people to make them useless? 50-100 to make calling for backup useless?

30 years ago, I lived in a small town. Bank robbers called in a robbery at Walmart, which was a 15 minute drive from the center of town. ALL of the town's cops went there. Then the bank robbers robbed the town's downtown bank and got away with it. Cops are just as predictable today.
