It’s the talk of the village…the yout’ are positively ecstatic…
It's wonderful.
I’m gutted to miss it!
Oh no 😯 What a spot, though. I love that part of the UK.
Nice! Have you had a stroll up to Cissbury Ring* * No smut please.
We intend to venture up the Ring in the morning, too tired and wet now…
😂😂😂 It’s well worth the effort. Lovely views to the Channel and South Downs. And that still sounds smutty!
I love an undulating vista…
Yes, the clefts, hillocks and verdant valleys…
Enjoy a Glacial heave….
Is that a grassy knoll?
That’s in Dorset!
Is that the bloke who invented the bi-fold door?
Of course you were…
Pedant😂
You missed the obvious visit to the biggest dyke in the South East…
I was born in Findon, used to regularly walk up there as a boy.
The yew trees round there are great. Watch out for fairies though.
🤣
I’ve heard they can be troublesome
Not a lot under £7 in my local. But I had a pint in a Wetherspoons in Clacton (don’t ask) for £1.79 recently. Cheapest ever pint was 6p in a pre-velvet revolution Prague after a black market currency exchange, but that’s another story. #bapps
Wetherspoon Klacton!? Block 🤣
If ever there’s a constituency that needs a decent representative it’s Clacton. Pity they’ve been persuaded to choose otherwise.
Just across the A24 from Long Furlong. I saw a UFO there a few years ago. Also near Clapham Wood.
Love a UFO sighting, tell me more!
That’s near me! We used to fly our Radio Control Gliders at Cissbury Ring!
Sussex has fine beers of its own - though I miss K&B from further up the A24.
Just caught onto the #BAPPS Interesting back catalogue. When I started pubs (mid 80's) a pint was under a quid.
Yes…early 90’s we were £1.50 ish… I can remember being outraged in 1992 paying £2.50 for a bottle of New’K Brown…
Loved a Newkie! Bottles were always a rip off. Ridiculous now. And they wonder why we're losing pubs like we are.
Tax innit….understand the health drivers, but when you buy alcohol cheaply in the supermarket and you lose the social interaction of a Pub… you’re shifting the cost into mental health issues…
Yes, indeed. There are many issues - tax, minimum wage, national insurance, supermarket booze, inflation, cost of living, energy costs, and greedy bastard breweries/property developers. And the social value of pubs is totally ignored.
