Just as @vincentledvina.bsky.social predicted, AR4172 (center left) released some C-class flares this morning. AR4178 (upper right) has some active filaments. Flares show as sudden bright spots in this time lapse representing almost 4 hours of real time h-alpha solar action. #astrophotography

Here is a full disk h-alpha image of the Sun taken just after the time lapse. The image was made from the best 20% of the 5000 frame 21GB video. Lunt 50mm double stacked, pressure tuned h-alpha telescope with ZWO ASI 178MM camera, 2x barlow. #astrophotography
