They already do that, but most of what yall are asking for is actually against the rules. Do you think the EPA should have to run ads in the Super Bowl to avoid being shut down?

Yes, exactly, all of the money given to an agency should be used for its purpose, not advertising. @uscpsc.bsky.social having a good soc media presence is for the agency purpose, not advertisement Congress is supposed to make the case and if we elect bad Congress people, this is what happens
I didn't ask for anything. I simply pointed out that federal agencies do, and should, spend money on advertising to help achieve their missions in response to your comment inferring they shouldn't spend any at all. And I thought the decline-of-local-journalism aspect was relevant. 🤷
But that isn’t what you and I were talking about, is it? Do you think the EPA should spend money on commercials or risk being defunded? Lack of marketing means air quality is irrelevant?
I thought it was exactly what we were talking about. I did not interpret your original argument to refer to a black-and-white advertise-or-die idea, but simply an argument against any agency spending on advertisement. Therefore, my point remains that there are valid reasons for them to advertise.
