This. Even w/ample NWS warnings, Kerr Co.'s Guadalupe River rose over 34 feet in 5 hours during the night. They can't be sure about how high because the gauge broke. I oppose the agencies' cuts whole-heartedly; and bad, state & local policy decisions existed, but facts matter. Minimizing hurts.

Glad you've missed them, but plenty of posts/replies here blaming the victim based on how the OP thinks Texans vote for president & governor. The state is so gerrymandered and voting so actively suppressed that non-red votes have a hard time counting.

One implication of cutting Medicaid funding I haven't seen discussed much—physician education. My wife started an OBGYN residency today, and something like 2/3 of her salary is paid by Medicaid. Our medical system is propped up by underpaid, overworked residents subsidized by the government.
