People are saying that, exactly that, here, in many threads. Not from those suspicious, low-post count, low-followers accts, but ones w/track records of being real people w/liberal leanings. Humanity part aside, it's knee-jerk w/o knowledge of TX's highly manipulated & suppressing voting systems.
As a former resident of the Lone Star Beer State, I could never figure out how I managed to know so many cool people, in a state with so many brown families, and yet the state was trapped in the iron fist of a bunch of drawling belt buckles.
By the way, when I first lived there, the state government was run by a governor named Ann Richards. I'm sorry but I just don't buy that there was some kinda overnight cultural sea change in Texas, where everyone suddenly turned into a reactionary, inhumane fuck. Nah. Smells.
I can solve that mystery for you: gerrymandering
