She was never Governor of her state, although her husband was. It might have been more accurate to say that Bill Clinton, who was a governor and POTUS had slaves.

"I had slaves, but my wife didn't benefit from it or give them orders. After they cooked and cleaned for us she'd go behind them and do it again because she knew slavery was bad and would run for president one day. This also made the slavery cruel AND pointless." - Bill Clinton, apparently

This discussion is pointless unless we understand that Trump would go back to slavery days if he could get away with it, and short of that, Jim Crow where minorities and women knew their place..

No, it's not, because we're not talking about Trump. However we are talking about Hillary Clinton, the slave owner, in 1980s. Not during Jim Crow. Not in the 1800s. Hillary Clinton owned slaves. In the 1980s.

I am out of this discussion. I never find it useful to discuss how many angels can fit on the head of a pin, or imprecise definitions which this is.

Not sure there’s much difference between Bill having slaves and Hillary using Bill’s slaves, in fact it’s a very silly and stupid distinction to try and make.

So her family held slaves. Go sit in a fucking corner and think about what you're trying to handwave here.

You know this is slavery apologia right? Also, Hillary wrote about it in her book and used the word "we" and "I" when she talks about using prison labor, which means she considered those slaves to also be her slaves.

Too bad, I am not apologizing, I am being very, very picky and technical, since you are too.

We already know you aren't going to apologize for slavery apologia just because it's slavery done by the Dems in accordance with the 13th amendment. It's just weird and immoral to do so, and it's literally what Trump wants

No you aren’t, you’re just being pedantic and sucking at it in a weak attempt to excuse Hillary Clinton having slaves.

Did Hillary live in the governor’s mansion? Did the governor’s mansion have slaves? Did Hillary make use of those slaves? Unless the answer to all of the above is “no,” Hillary had slaves.

are you saying it's better in some way that technically her husband owned slaves and she just used them or whatever?

If this clown was any good at being pedantic they’d point out the state technically owned the slaves, Bill and Hillary just had free use of them.

I, personally, believe women have agency and are capable of making decisions in the household. But I recognize that some people are still so backwards they think that women are incapable of and so not culpable for household decisions.

I like your thinking, and to add to what women are capable of, they can make decisions about their own bodies without men, or the government sticking their noses, or other parts of their bodies, into the decision.

They can't understand that people criticize the Dems from the left because the left actually has morals, so they wrongfully assume that anyone criticising the Dems is a secret maga or some nonsense. It's literally cult mentality I swear
