Possibly, but he has always had certain lines that he never crosses and carefully manages.
He does but my suspicion (colour me cynical, if you like) is that’s not because of a genuine ‘no, this really is beyond the pale’ feeling but because he needs to keep his party outwardly respectable in order to attract votes. Once he’s actually in power, that constraint is largely removed.
