So yesterday, I had a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with omentectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy and radical dissection for debulking. The ovarian mass was 17 cm, the size of a cantaloupe. Waiting for biopsy results. This happened so fast, I'll tell the story when I recover.

My God, Wendy... I am surprised & happy that you have enough energy to communicate after enduring such an ordeal. My own mother beat bowel cancer & had a full hysterectomy back in the mid 1970s. I can only imagine how much more improved the surgical procedures are now for such a procedure. ✊🏻❤
It's a hell of a thing, but I learned what an oophorectomy is from watching an episode of Law & Order. Sure hate that you're having to go through this. Hard to know what to say, just try to stay positive and take care of yourself.

I had similar surgery in 2023. Multiple tumours, largest 10cm. It a big surgery. Be gentle with yourself during recovery. I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
