This is simply untrue. Israel has LOWER religiosity (roughly half the population is secular) than many other states with declining birthrates (Pakistan, for instance, is MUCH more religious), but still experiences decline.
israel is a modern country with a lot of education and technology. Even if more of the population is secular, it is entirely possible that exists along side a considerable % of very religious people in israel for religious freedom. This is not like a developing nation ignorant....
where more of the population states to have religious views, but they are not truly devout religious, and unlikely to exhibit hyperfertility. Their religious affiliation is not true belief like mormons, orthodox, and extreme observant muslims, but a function of lack of education.
