"Eloy" is pruning citrus trees in CAs SJ Valley. He works 6-7 hrs/day. He shares: When it's hot, it feels very humid in the rows. When we pull dry branches from the tree we get scratches on our arms & hands. It's tough work, but it feeds my family. #WeFeedYou

Thank you, Eloy. I’ve picked oranges just for my own use, and even that tiny fraction of the kind of work you do wasn’t easy — and someone had to show me the proper way to do it that’s best for the tree and the fruit. More people should understand that your labor is skilled labor.
In the 50s here in CA we stupidly attempted to remove workers and replace them with teen & young adult citizens. Lol all had quit within 2 weeks. Farmers scrambled to get back their tried and true skilled workers. Thank you for doing for years what is incredibly hard and skilled labor.
