I've done all that. It won't work. The two "natural voices" won't work in Word. It's not worked since March.

In the windows settings can you choose and preview a voice?

It won't preview the natural voice there. It will only use that for the page reader, which is a lot tricker and less smoother than the Read Aloud function within word. It's an ongoing issue. A bunch of us can't even get robot Catherine now.

It looks like word will only access the default speech file from the initial setup. In my case it's English(United States) David,Zira & Mark. I also have Canada and Australia (with Catherine) but word can't access them. I will have to look into the registry to see if there is a workaround

I tried the registry one that the Microsoft forums posted in the spring. That also didn't work. The problem is none of those are what I, and others, want. We want the previous ones that were far better. These are terrible.

The page reader uses the correct voice. The trouble is it then reads *everything* in word. And I mean everything. It isn't useful for what I need. Whereas, Read Aloud is designed to read within word. It just uses the terrible robot voices w/ static now.
