just updated my list of favorite movies for the first time in a while, I think it's just a few titles away from hitting 300. not sure I've ever shared it here before

thanks for sharing! i've seen some of these but there are so many more for me to check out :)
Thief is amazing.
Very fun to see Road Games and Hardcore on there. Have you seen The Silent Partner or Siege? Good Canadian content, those.
Such a great list, thanks for sharing!
ao, i'm expression carceral trauma ovah heah!!!
Saw Bad at Black Rock once forever ago. Remember very little about it. But I remember being fascinated by how Tracey (for obvious character reasons) kept that one hand in his pocket the whole darn movie. Always wondered if he got frustrated with that or found it limiting.
I have a list of 5 favorite films. I need to work on what comes next but the option paralysis sets in real quick. Maybe I should just forget about ranking them.

So long as 300 never hits it. Ba dum, chh
Excellent list! I’ve been tinkering with my own on Letterboxd for ages. Maybe because I was foolish enough to rank them
Glad to see Two-Lane Blacktop on that list 😎👍
I’d be happy just watching films on that list. Stoked to see The Hidden on there, it’s my favourite to show people. Top tier Ed O’Ross, his delivery of the list of crimes should’ve got him nominated. Great car movie too. One of the best opening sequences ever filmed, the Blu-ray is incredible.
Damn fine pictures.
Just so happens I’m in the final stretch of Sneakers rn
And you’d find probably 80 percent of that list on my shelves, actually..
an all-timer
That said, what a damn fine cast and a fun caper.
I notice though that Ben Kingsley’s character has a different accent than the younger version of himself; either the actors were uninformed of each others performances, or, it could be argued that you immediately develop an affectation when you convert to villainy.
Nice list P!!! 👍 Thanks for sharing 😊
ranking favorites is simply too stressful. I personally can't do it - if I try, it's instant paralysis.
The only good lists are unranked "what are X favorites that come to mind right now" (because that's are the only kind I'm capable of making)
I don't think I could to a top 10. But I dig your list. Some stuff I need to add to my list, but a good amount of overlap with the stuff I like and need to revisit.
the Universal Soldier movies aren't worth watching after the first film -- until John Hyams (son of Peter Hyams) steps in and takes some big, wild, ultra-violent swings with Regeneration and Day of Reckoning. DoR is a bonkers DTV actioner with nods to Blade Runner, Frankenstein, Noé, etc.
I actually wrote about Day of Reckoning a few years ago. probably not wise to read this if you haven't seen it yet, but I think you can tell from the header image alone that it's VERY different from the first Universal Soldier film.
It's such a fascinating film to end a franchise with (that was the end of the UniSol fllms wasn't it?) So much more interesting than the first film.
my other favorite Scott Adkins joint! it rules. a super satisfying, super underrated low-budget actioner that's currently streaming on Prime, Tubi, and Pluto TV
Love both Universal Soldier movies from John Hyams. I think he is a super-underrated director (Alone and his show Black Summer are superb). And I can't more agree with Avengement, I think is his best movie, and Jesse V Johnson's.
We need a boutique label putting out a Scott Adkins boxset, so many of films doesn't get blu-ray releases, or they are just bare bones release. I need an Undisputed set.
A friend is on a Statham kick and picked up Adkins’ Ninja yesterday on a recommendation from a store employee and I got to tell him about Avengement!
yes!!! the second Ninja movie is even better, but imho Avengement is the best.
I watched this tonight based on your recommendation and godDAMN this movie fucking whips!
I also enjoyed both Accident Man movies. Scott Adkins and Ray Stevenson worked so well together.
Fantastic list, but I gotta ask… Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning?!? I think I stopped watching them after the third one.
Avengement, hell yeah. I tell people about this one all the time
