got a movie theater voucher for a free drink and it's been so long since I hit up concessions I didn't realize that a small soda is like a two-hander now. had to carry that motherfucker around like a baby

At AMC, a small is 20 oz (591 ml). Other chains are probably similar, between 20-30 oz.

To be fair, American cinemas fill their cups with ice, so the actual volume of soda is much less. Here in NL, cinemas sell soda in 500ml bottles, so it’s roughly the size of an AMC small, but without ice.

I always get a giant vat of bubbly water with some splash of Minutemaid or something. By the time that movie is over I’M SO HYDRATED BABY. It’s always kind of a contest to see if I can make it to the end without leaving to pee.

My local indie sells beer. I asked them for a lid. Had to explain I’m a total klutz who didn’t trust herself not to spill it on anyone when they gave me odd looks. It’s an old theater, there are stairs.
