A lot of times I'll get a set of character references where it is clear that no one who drew them looked at actual animal references, so I'm having to fix an entire character from scratch basically. It's fun actually.

I know I've made that mistake before, because my Sona is a Skunk, but his facial patterns are that of a Honey Badger's. That wasn't intentional, I just didn't have a skunk ref open while I drew him.
