Looking down on Slane Castle, July 22, 1995, when the band played the monumental concert in Ireland—the first show after the brief stoppage of the tour in central Europe when Mike came down with abdominal issues necessitating emergency surgery and canceling a few shows through France and Spain.
What an incredible day! In between acts, I told my best friend I was going to marry his sister. We were married in Sept '97 and are still going strong 🙂
What must it be like to see that many people watching you on a stage?! #terrifying

One of the best gigs I was ever at. The crowd throwing rubbish (mostly used plastic drinks containers) up in the air during "End of the World" was fun & I'd give anything for a photo from the stage looking out on the crowd during Everybody Hurts as the same rubbish was lit & held up like lighters
