There’s no question that we still have work to do to make sure health care is a right and not a privilege in America.

If they kill Medicare, I will be disqualified from commercial insurance due to pre existing conditions. I support ACA, but depending upon your financial situation, it can be expensive and deductibles high enough that it's catastrophic care only. I realize cancer is catastrophic. Still worried.

Frankly, for many, many Americans the ACA was only affordable the 1st year or two. (1st yr we saved $5k) Then it grew exorbitantly expensive—we pay an equivalent to a down payment on a red state home, annually, for bronze level coverage. That’s not affordability! The felon will only increase cost!

As a small business owner since ‘03, I know the marketplace for insurance till the passage of the ACA was miserable. Few options, high cost, poor coverage. The ACA changed all of that. I as current cancer patient, without the ACA, my family would be at risk of losing our home, our biz, and future.

Dennis - the small business I worked for after retirement in my red state every single employee was on ACA since she didn’t offer insurance.. including the owner who like yourself had pre-existing conditions.. Only ACA & Medicare/Medicaid do not allow insurance companies to deny coverage.
Also when I worked at Verizon most of the contractors I spoke with that didn’t have company provided insurance also used the ACA to obtain theirs.. ACA requires a minimum income of 15k single ( and increases by family size) to participate.. Those under can only get Medicaid

During Harris's run, Obama did everything he could to help motivate people to vote. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. It may be in his best interest, and ours, for him to keep his mouth shut (for now). Trump will probably revoke his security detail, like he's done to the others.

For years, the best advice for artists and artisans has been “don’t quit your day job”, or “move to Canada”. No matter how wildly successful you were as a musician, potter, painter, sculptor, actor, before ACA you were one bad mammogram away from losing everything. Our culture is richer for ACA.
The ACA allowed me to retire at 63; otherwise I couldn’t have afforded health insurance coverage. With the ACA, my monthly bill for health insurance was less than $90.

People need to be aware that this is relevant to more than the people who get their insurance from the ACA Exchange. Tens of millions of us with pre-existing conditions who have had medical insurance through our employers have benefited from from this.
The ACA kept 3 family members from losing our mental health care, a fourth was treated for heart issues, and my TRANS-DAUGHTER received her gender affirming dignostically-appropriate medical care which both gave her HERSELF and PREVENTED SUICIDE. Thank you Mr.President, you saved my family ❤️❤️❤️
