I’ve noticed lots of things in non-clinical situations. It’s hard to avoid. Goiter, scleral icterus, clubbing, on and on. Never noticed any mitochondrial diseases though.

I saw this and didn’t realize what it was referring to. Just saw a post about 🧠🪱’s remarks and now I get it, thank you. I’ve been living with a mitochondrial disease for over 25 years. I have to constantly deal with “but you look fine!” It’s called an invisible disability for a reason 🤦♀️
Sorry. I suppose I shouldn’t just assume that people are seeing the same exact same thing I am! Or can read my mind about posts.
No apology needed! It was a nice “aha!” moment for me 💡
Mostly I just notice psoriasis, hand osteoarthritis, and pedal edema
But yeah, I want the ability to look at someone and know their inflammation levels
I’m especially good at spotting fetal alcohol syndrome and bad wigs
This was about RFK. In case people can’t read minds and aren’t mad about the exact same things I am at the exact same time. I’m not just saying weird things about mitochondrial disorders. Unlike RFK.
