I don't know if adding a ton of new random "don't try to win too fast or else" changes to the game for Killer side really helps new players, seems way more convoluted actually.
It's how I'm interpreting BHVR's intentions anyway. The increasing amounts of licensed DLC is bound to attract a fortnight style audience (and money). I ain't saying your wrong, this is a HUGE amount of changes at once that'll completely change the game's tempo.
I believe we need antislug and antitunnel, yes. I just think this is too damn much too damn fast, and half won't make it. Then Survivors will still look for things to complain about. Meanwhile BHVR will go "mission accomplished" and 100% nerf gen progression because it's too fast for this system.
Yeeeeah. I'm half a mind to wait for the PTB to judge but we see how they treat those. XD;; My main issue was with how the responses are being handled. My YT feed is getting full of vids that are just yelling and throwing insults. Doesn't feel like a good way to get the point across.
It's not. I'm 100% sure though the rage WILL get this system nerfed. I hope BHVR doesn't throw the baby out with the bathwater, they have kicked the hornet's nest enough this year.
Like I will be first to say it as a relatively high level Ghostface Main - Tunnel/Slug IS a problem and you definitely do not need it to exist as much as it does. My problem is these changes go a bit too far in the pursuit of a noble goal, now we can't tell precisely WHAT of these will be too much.
There ARE cases it makes tactical sense to pressure that way especially as a lower tier Killer like me. And there's cases where it's not even tunnelling, the Surv was just in the wrong place at the wrong time or they're the only one the Killer sees to chase. Killers shouldn't be punished for that.
Just like how it's annoying to see gens pop super fast but makes total tactical sense to split on gens, do some gens first, or do gens as fast as you can as Survivor to win - especially against fast Killers - it's annoying but valid to have SOME amount of slugs and early outs too.
It only really becomes an issue when you're seeing slugs left forever, or seeing Killers consistently go after the same Survivor for being Sable. THEN it's toxic. But if it *makes tactical sense as pressure*, then that doesn't need a punishment. It's a valid tool, as valid as gen splitting is.
All the rage vids boil down to the response to anti tunnel measures as "get gud"
Basically what it comes down to in a lot of online games nowadays I've noticed. I don't want to call it gatekeeping but...yeah...people need to let up on being super hardcore in these types of games
I'm still angry about the new smoke bombs. Entire youtube community throws a fit because it blocks line of sight and disorients LIKE A SMOKE BOMB, so it got nerfed so hard on both regards. I can't stand these people that still want the game to be 2016
