This will ultimately cost much more than the salaries saved. Institutional knowledge lost, research down the drain, death and illness that could have been prevented, and ultimately the cost of restarting lost positions. The Reps will then scream about the Dem waste. And many voters will buy it!

Agree. Every piece of the puzzle they remove causes the whole structure, which we paid for, to crumble. Rebuilding will be horrendously difficult and expensive. And some very important accomplishments probably lost forever in terms of public rewards for investments.
