Capitalism to socialism plan (15 years) Year 1: (The #GeneralStrike) - Universal Healthcare - Universal education, Reformed - Eliminating the Senate - Whitehouse no longer has pass/veto power; Congress can only vote to bring laws to the people to pass/veto through voting.
Year 3: - Corporations are no longer allowed to own residential property of any sort, directly or through a proxy. - Citizens are not allowed to own more than 2 residential properties in the country. - Foreign entities may not own US land of any sort. Only US citizens can own US land.
Year 5: - Corporations must pay 50% of the market value of any position they outsource/automate into a UBI pool. - Corporations which outsource labor lose the US market value of that labor in tax deductions, and those funds are put towards the UBI pool. - Water & power are municipal nation-wide.
Year 7: - Corporations are banned from merging with competitive corporations. Any large monopoly will be countered by a government project or government-funded co-op start-up. - Education is reformed to focus on streamlining students from basic to higher-level education to full careers.
Year 10: - Corporations lose all tax breaks if any employee is paid less than 90% of market value for their position, or if any employee makes more than 10x the lowest paid employee's salary. - Internet is municipal nation-wide. Net neutrality becomes an organic byproduct.
Year 15: - Publicly traded corporations, shareholders, and non-employee owners of businesses which employ 20+ employees are banned. Businesses which fail to convert to a co-op are nationalized. - Commodity trading is abolished. Resource management prioritizes what the people need.
