Generally when someone likes or doesn't like an Alien entry (Romulus last year, Alien Earth this year) it's helped when I hear which Alien films they loved over others

I love all of the Alien franchise's huge swings. The one I like least is Prometheus - mainly because that was a film trend at the time where everyone wanted everythingcore prequel/sequel mutants. I also didn't love the Calvinball lore. (Miraculously and masterfully incorporated by Alien: Romulus)

How can anyone not love? If you've never seen any alien stuff, this should blow your mind And anyone who, like me, loves the first 2 movies but sees everything after those as meh remixes at best and lazy cashgrabs at worst, this is finally exiting and interesting

I thought the latest episode was easily the best -- the tension and themes are coming together and feel unique as opposed to yet another rehash of the first two films (which are among my favorites.) Some great expansion of the world, especially with the new creatures. Very curious where it is going

Not only am I loving it, it made want to binge all the movies again

I am in the love camp.

I started kind of “meh” towards it, but as it’s become clear that they aren’t just doing rehash of the originals I got more interested. Halfway through, it feels VERY ambitious and I suspect we’ll some wild twists pretty soon and that will bother people who just want Alien(s) on repeat forever.
