The fact that they went after Bolton is more interesting than just a shrug off. Why not a Democrat? Why not Newsom, who is a real threat? Or hell, a judge? My guess is they have at least something plausible on him. And, indeed, they got a court to sign off on the search.

You're overthinking. Kash getting revenge on Bolton is very plausible. Also possible that they want to scare national security bureaucrats who are thinking of quitting on principle. As for the warrant, what judge signed it? For all we know, Aileen Cannon.
