In the first half of the year, Tesla sold • 345,088 cars in North America in 2023, and • 313,727 in 2024, a drop of 31,361 units. The decline continues in 2025, but this time, the drop will be much larger than 31,000 or even 40,000 units.

And Xiaomi has utterly destroyed Tesla in China with the release of the YU7. Over 12 months backlog of orders inside the first hour of the going live. Tesla will definitely fall below 1.5M worldwide sales this year & is an outside chance of dropping to 1.2M
Thank you Troy for always being objective and data driven. Nothing the cult hates more.
I realize there are more options now, worldwide, but have you factored in the surge due to the Model Y refresh? Seems that's lifted deliveries in a few markets. Not sure it will last but just wondering.
What do you think is going on? Is it because Elon’s gotten a bit too toxic lately, or maybe it’s the lack of new models and just the same ones getting refreshed? Has the market just gotten too saturated? Also, I haven’t seen that new, cheaper Tesla model they were supposed to reveal by mid-2025.
