The joke…and I hate having to explain jokes…is that Billy Bragg would never tell anyone to “shut up and play” but that phrase is a common criticism from right wing yobs.

It's much nicer. People actually know something about what they're posting about, and care to explain their stance. If you care to listen to just one song by Billy Bragg you may start to see how the point passed you by.
