OBs don't even tell you explicitly not to consume raw milk, just like they don't tell you not to consume raw chicken. They assume everyone knows not to eat those, whether they're pregnant or not.

Mine did. She explicitly told me to not drink raw milk, eat lunch meat, or consume soft cheeses that were not pasteurized. That’s how I heard about listeria poisoning.
Mine had a handout listing raw milk & dairy amongst the things not to consume while pregnant
I was told not to eat soft cheese, lunch meat, or sushi. Or clean the cat box. I don't think it occurred to anyone at the time that I would be dumb enough to drink raw milk or, like, eat roadkill.
And to be clear, I'm a fairly risk-tolerant eater. I eat a lot of sushi. I do oysters and steak tartare and I eat cookie dough when I'm baking. But not when I'm pregnant, and I don't feed that stuff to little kids and babies!
I was so sad that I couldn't eat smoked salmon when I was pregnant 😭
they’ll take my cookie dough from my cold, dead, hands!
Bake the flour before you use it 🙂 www.crazyforcrust.com/how-to-make-...
I thought the uncooked eggs were the hazard.
The risk is waste contamination, so it is really the outside shells of the eggs and the flour that could be contaminated from animal waste. Store eggs are washed and low risk. www.eatingwell.com/surprising-i...
Surprisingly, it’s flour that’s more likely to have salmonella and e. coli than eggs.
One more thing to worry about.🫣
You forget how much they infantilize women and believe that women are honestly just eternal children that are never fully mentally matured, like men are. /s
Just like they don't tell you not to consume molten lead and red-hot rivets....
