I’m sure I’ve already talked your ear off about SLEEPLESS by Charlie Huston, but a global plague of fatal insomnia is at least 10 times scarier than a zombie apocalypse.

I started (but didn’t finish) Blindness, by José Saramago, and that book freaked me out. The way governments will treat their citizens when surrounded by uncertainty is absolutely unsettling.
