Democrats need to treat this for what it is - an open declaration of war. Every left-leaning state should begin gerrymandering efforts of their own. California, New York and Illinois are not enough, not as red states continue to join the Trump cause for fascism. It's now or never. Join or die.
The problem is that there are more states with Republican controlled legislatures than Democratic ones. Plus, many Dem states have more mechanisms in place to prevent mid-decade redistricting.
