Great point. The "2-way is better than 1-way" point was important when middling-efficacy cloth masks were in use. N95+ respirators are *designed* to protect the user as a 1-way solution. 2-way is still superior at popn. level b/c it covers for errors in use, but folks misinterpret this.

1 way is standard (and very effective) in hospitals when working with covid patients! But also you hate disabled people if you don’t wear an n95 every day.

I feel inclined to point out that plenty of disabled people can’t actually wear masks.

as someone who can get severe head & facial pain from masking, hard echoing this. the experience of vomiting (an action hard to wear a mask during) in public from pain triggered by masking is a major reason i find it so important to talk about & use a diversity of mitigation tools πŸ€™πŸ»

I threw up inside my mask once while pregnant and dealing with morning sickness. It was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my entire life. 0/10 do not recommend.
