Hubs is part of our neighborhood’s Brown and Black Dads Guy Economy, it’s fabulous. We have to keep the “I know a gal/guy” economy alive.

My hubs isn’t Brown or Black, but he knows all our neighbors and they all do things for each other from helping build church sets (we’re Jewish) to installing plumbing or dogsitting. We get notified about vacations so we can keep an eye on houses. I live these groups in any form.
The local Guy economy is alive and well in your neighborhood! 💙
Can y'all come by and explain The Guy economy to Minnesota? bc for the life of me most of these folks don't get it? Only the transplants in the neighborhood do
Indirectly, all the wives of The Brown and Black Dads Guy Economy have started swapping help amongst each other as well. A network of Gals, if you will. I’m the crafting and handmade gifts Gal, aspiring to also be the homegrown fruit and veggies Gal.
I love that you have such a vibrant & loving community 🩷
We are very fortunate with our subdivision, both because of the people and that we’ve been having a white flight of sorts as more and more Black and brown folks move in. There are two parallel communities in the subdivision and white families are regularly leaving.
