I think that’s a fair point, though I’d say we’ve seen in other markets Facebook has been downranking news even if links are not outright banned, so again I think there’s a deeper problem than the Act and repealing it wouldn’t really solve it.

It is a part of it, for sure, and you make a good point about downranking. Frankly, I'm not sure I even want to go back to posting on Facebook again.
