PUBLIC STATEMENT – URGENT 1/ I, Zarina Zabrisky, author, producer, director of Kherson: Human Safari—a documentary on Russia’s invasion, occupation, and systematic drone warfare in Kherson, Ukraine, testifying about attacks recently recognized by the UN and HRW as war crimes.🧵
Zarina has been risking her life to bring this film to the world, so that we can understand both the cruelty of the impotent Russian thugs, and the courage, beauty and resilience of the Ukrainian people who are being targeted.

2/ The film was fully funded by private donors. All proceeds go to support the people of Kherson. I hold all legal rights to the film and obtained all licenses/ permissions. The film is cleared for sensitive or classified materials. All featured individuals signed legal releases.
3/ Two former crew members—paid and released in 2024—are now spreading false claims about me and the film. None of their work appears in the final cut. My legal team is issuing a cease and desist.
4/ I'm disappointed that these former crew members have chosen to distract from the struggle of the people of Kherson, and that some members of the press are misled.
5/ I will defend the film—for Kherson, for Ukraine, and for the victims of Russia’s war crimes.
