Kherson: drone siege status reports. Today, after several vehicles were attacked and damaged by drones, and civilians were injured again, the city administration announced that the road might be temporarily closed. The situation is developing.
This is nonsense. M14 is just one road connecting Mykolaiv and Kherson. No more road connections remaining. (I'm in Kherson now, just in case, and have been reporting from here since 2022). About 60,000 left now.
Charred vehicles, smashed minivans, upside down, off the road. Surreal drone tunnels made of poles and fishing nets flowing in the wind. The high-pitched beep of drone detectors, a trembling silver screen on which you can see yourself the way the Russian pilot sees you before dropping explosives.
As you are driving in Kheson, you suddenly fall into an alternative reality. Everything around is ablaze or smouldering. The air is filled with a mix of soot, smog, and the suffocating stench of chemicals. People report helicopters dropping gas.

Media Ban Myth: Russia claims there is no media freedom in Ukraine. Reality: Pro-Russian TV channels linked to Russian intel were shut down during active hostilities. Independent media & foreign press continue to operate freely.
Political Parties Ban: Ukraine has also been accused of banning opposition parties. Reality: Parties tied to the Russian state were suspended during war. Ukraineâs parliament still includes multiple political views.

âDenazificationâ Far-right parties in Ukraine have minimal support, none in parliament. President Zelenskyy is Jewish, with family lost in the Holocaust. The Nazi label is a psychological weapon to justify atrocities.
Twisting or "forgetting" Budapest Memorandum: Reality: In 1994, Ukraine gave up the 3rd-largest nuclear arsenal for security guarantees. Russia broke that deal in 2014 & 2022âundermining global nonproliferation.
NATO "Provocation" Myth: Kremlin says NATO âforcedâ the war. Reality: NATO is a defensive alliance. Ukraine wasnât a member in 2014 or 2022. States joined NATO for protection from Moscow, not to threaten it.

Russian drone operators killed a bird, likely a rare white pelican. Reportedly, they did it for training. And they had no problem with posting their crime online.

Tactic 3: Provocation & Disinformation (âReichstag Fireâ) âŹPolice charged peaceful protesters. That failed to spark violence so disinformation about "riots" was spread. âŹHoaxes about âSoros-funded bricksâ and amplified reports of looting spread online.
