I think we’d see a scotus decision saying that Trump could run for a third term but not Obama. Kinda like they held Biden can’t provide student loan relief because it impinges upon Congress’ budget authority, but allow trump to unilaterally overturn programs created by Congress.
Maybe "an incumbent president may run for a 3rd term"? However, since Trump would not be running for a 3rd consecutive term, there would need to be some clever wordsmanship in the decree!

That’s a scary thought. I voted for her but she’s shown us repeatedly she’s not the one. Let’s not be like Trump and his minions - let’s actually learn from experience rather than ignoring it.
Bear in mind, by 2028 Trump will likely be out of the picture and the incumbent will be JD Vance. Whole new ball game!
Perhaps he will - with this guy and court, you never know. That said, Harris’ performance in the primaries and the election was mediocre. Run her again, lose again. Nothing personal, but she could not generate the enthusiasm and support required and I think we’d be foolish to bet on her again.
