wonder if you can add music preferences to the advance directive. "in case of memory care, please play these artists"

oh, 100% you can. my AD has instructions about how to be near me. (I can't stand people sitting on the edge of the bed when I'm lying on it, so I wrote that in, so I'm not distressed but unable to tell them to get the fuck off and stop making the mattress go weird)
(i mean, will the care staff, relatives, etc read it and respect it? who knows, but I've got it written down along with a few other things that seemed especially pertinent to "i am aware but unable to express my desires", like No Socks i don't care how cold my feet seem)
Make sure to state clearly in big letters, that anyone who ignores the riders and isn’t caught and dealt with at the time, will be haunted. Not by you, because for some that would be an incentive, but by the rest of the ghosts who were similarly vexed before passing.
That’s very true. I had a great aunt who threatened to haunt anyone who let on how old she was, so after she died we all talked about her age a lot. She was 97 when she died. That’s the oldest anyone in my family has ever managed (so far.)
That is an impressive high score!
Also will probably say "yes, the visiting therapy animal is allowed in here. please don't ask them to play piano."
oh gosh that's a nightmare situation. i couldn't even watch the video. 😂 but yeah, AD's can have anything you can think of for how to best care for you when you can't say it yourself anymore. And you can update them whenever.
I have literally thought of doing this.
