There are lots of men in low paying traditional male jobs like cooks. Those jobs tend to pay low because they require little or no education. But skilled fields like nursing have absolutely no excuse for not doing more to attract men. Instead they act like a girls only club.
If men are willing to be orderlies, ambulance attendants and paramedics they should also be encouraged that nursing is an option. I attached the webpage of our local university nursing school. It too is washed in that pink/purple color that boys are raised to associate with girls.
Those color designs are a conscious choice. The people making them know very well the psychological impact that different colors can have. It’s like having a poster of all white men but underneath it reads “we believe in inclusivity and diversity”
