I think it's supposed to evoke a cilantro-mint chutney that is often served with Samosas, but this one was kind of a bland yogurty variation that was more of a cilantro mint crema. Might be a nice counterpoint on a chicken taco.

This was my lunch today Samosa filled patties (aloo tikki) Chana masala (chickpea curry) And chutney. (Not that green thing) It’s got a red tint to it because i eat south Asian spicy not western spicy. 20% of the population here is south Asian so there’s an expectation to keep the food authentic.

Green chutney does have mint in it. yogurt-based raita is white with green flecks. I live in a city that has a very high South Asian population. I have only ever been served tamarind chutney with samosas so seeing a green chutney with samosas looks very weird to me.
