Neither of these prove the prior points. First, there are ways to still support without adopting every policy position of every protest. Second, you can debate the bill good/bad (the article admits it omitted the good), but still does not show Ds full agreement to R framing of the issue as claimed.
It’s framing as a crisis is the Republican framing, which was accepted by Dems
Did the Ds not attack Rs framing of the border after they killed the bill? Further the majority of people want some form of immigration reform but there are wide differences btwn what D/Rs want. Acknowledging issues at the border & fighting back Rs fabricated claims is not accepting the framing.
“Immigration is a crisis” is a frame. Specific policy bills are not.
