For me anyway this all affects my neck, I’ve got some cervical dystonia happening and often experience head turns during seizures, plus twitching/turning even outside of seizures. Anyway it’s all very interesting and I really wonder how much pain and discomfort is just feedback loops in the body
That is all incredibly interesting. While I do not experience seizures and never have, TMJ and migraines are lifelong experiences. The TMJ, I think, is anxiety/trauma-reaction grinding and clenching.
The migraines...ha...I know my Mom had them, and it never hit me until my 40s that my extreme sensory headaches along with nausea and physical pain, prompting rage...were migraines.
Yeah I do both sometimes and have anxiety, I also have at times debilitating sinus/migraines. I’m thinking that some of the messages to clench are coming through that trigeminal nerve, so there is like a range of pain type responses to types of activation of the trigeminovascular system.
Since I started new meds I really only seem to have headaches occasionally and usually around seizure like events, around the same time I started really massaging my face so while I still have some deep tenderness it’s nowhere near as bad. It’s making me wonder how much one or the other is habit
By which I mean tmj/migraines and whether one can feedback loop into the other
Hello! I can see that your post is from a year and a half ago but if you're still on this bead I'd love to chat with you about your seizures & cervical dystonia! I too have suffered from the same combo for several years now. You'd be the first soul I've encountered with this same unfortunate combo.
