Actually I needed the sugar as an executive function carrot. Basically the same people that tortured me for hand flapping gave me the toolkit I use to manage executive function. I keep the worst parts in check with carrots but carrots lately have been very thin on the ground

Actually it’s interesting now the physical stuff is starting, but it’s still muted compared to normal. I guess there is a delay between big emotion:physical symptoms
One thing that’s neat though is that because I just did all that body work this really feels limited to my brain for once, it’s like since that’s stuff less of mess it can’t get as easily swept up into it. Well aside from the hives
Like in the last few years I’ve started to realize a lot of these weird sensory things (eg picture and sounds of a cartoon red, steaming bull) mean (anger)
I don’t know exactly how much of my alexithymia is from being in denial about my feelings because of experiences with things like ABA and how much is me not realizing my feelings because they’re encoded as the sound of a lake cracking
You know when a lake is frozen and you step on it and it cracks a little and then it menacingly cracks a lot. That’s what my mental state is like right now

I think this is just sometimes a thing. Sometimes it’s like a difference in backgrounds and sometimes it’s a difference in how brains work. It took me awhile to figure out how to work with anyone so i guess I shouldn’t be surprised that with some people it just won’t really go at all
