handflapping is life
now talking to mOm about our autie behaviours as babies and kiddos and how she managed not to notice them as 'bad' what a difference being raised by calm people makes
This happened to me too. Hogtied and left alone until I stopped making noise. I am hyperlexic and echolaliac plus was constantly moving, constantly falling down from the dyspraxia. Tortured daily and all it taught me is I can trust no one, ever. Still have scars on my skin from being tortured age 4
I am so sorry this happened to you 😢🤬
Lizzie and Victorious Bleue, your stories both make me sad and enrage me. I hope that you've experienced healing from your trauma.
I’ve said this elsewhere but it bears repeating, I had it easier than my classmate who ostensibly spent at least a year and a half strapped to his chair as an ‘accommodation’
It was known I had seizures and I was left to have seizures in that closet
