I grew up a country kid and shot a bunch of guns before even middle school. Guns aren't really the problem. Semi-auto rifles with be clips and modifiable triggers are a huge problem. It's hard to mow down a crowd with a bolt action. And if you're hunting you don't need more than that.
Self defense doesn't mean someone needs a double drum mag on a pistol. I still think they should be available in some cases, like if I wanna dump rounds on a farm then cool, I'm ok with saying when, where, who, and why.
There is no reason for anyone to bring an AR(fuck the company name, all assault rifles are ARs and one company doesn't dictate what they are abbreviated to because it's model codes are the established nomenclature) in public.
Who's so much of a coward that they, honestly, think they need a fucking assault rifle to go get lunch? The rest of us aren't scared. I'm not scared to go outside, maybe the mental health of the people that need war weapons to do anything should be in question.
