This is really bad if you like fighting game competition stuff, but it is probably great if you are a top fighting game competitor in full on grifter mode looking for a payday and you don't care where the money comes from and are probably going to pivot into right wing podcasting soon.

The fact this is likely the path the FGC is shifting into kind of worries me, considering how big the Worlds event was in Saudi Arabia, they don't care where the money comes from anymore, so it seems.

Most major players don't really care where the money comes from, it's very apparent, so I do not expect things to stay the same, I expect people's perspective in this instance to be correct.
One would hope.
