Coincidentally, I have similar-ish feelings about The Terminator. In retrospect, I like the first more than the second because it's basically a horror movie disguised as a sci-fi film. Though I enjoyed T2 being a fun action movie, it just lead to more Lore and more Sci-Fi that I don't care for.

This makes me more annoyed that the race track based on a Galaxy Force stage doesn't have Galaxy Force music.
Tried a bit more of the Sonic kart game after hearing about the steering sensitivity option maybe being too low by default and now it feels better. Also tried Joker despite not really caring about Joker/Persona. Joker being silent is funny. They remember to put a little Persona 5 music in there.
Some of the character growth and plot elements are sped up quite a bit that can be kind of jarring for some folks. There are even a few characters that play a major role who basically get a lot of time trimmed off (Slegger Law in particular)
I feel like most folks would just watch the movie trilogy, which I enjoy but suffers from horrible pacing issues due to being compressed for movie run times. You're getting all the Good Shit.

Those that refuse to play a "classic" because it looks old or whatever are too cowardly. They will never delve into the most ramshackle ports on a platform that was never designed to run any game let alone this specific one.
I'm a game history sicko, so I more often that not don't really feel that strongly about remakes/remasters outside of what they actually contribute and does it "matter" in the grand game history narrative.
