It is tough, admittedly. Last time, they felt they needed two (Gbamin & Delph). Theory sound on paper but we know how it turned out

Interesting that multiple tackle/interception monsters very much in the Gana vein moved this window that were affordable & went to clubs at or below our level (thinking of Magassa and Florentino Luis mostly) but we didn't try. Perhaps not going to go for a like for like long term
My take is that they've just deferred the search for now. Gana has this season + an option for a further year. They think they're ok right now, and have future windows (Jan, summer) if something changes
Fair enough but that feels like a pretty spicy gamble on a ~36 year old who's going to AFCON...! Sort of banking on Tim to raise his game fairly significantly between now and December. Which perhaps they're pretty confident on, the lad can certainly tackle. Thanks for the insight again!
The person and professional he is and his love for Everton FC on top of that, what a player he has been for our club. I hope Röhl develops into a fine player with his own unique skill set. #utft
Gbamin I can understand the gamble but Delph hadn't been fit for years at City, that was nuts.
delph was an absolute horror signing. made zero sense on any level. one of the worst signings everton has ever made.
