Just look around. Stores and restaurants look like they did in 2020 when ppl were staying home bc COVID.* *Coincidentally, the last time this guy was in office.
Yup, and check airports, amusement parks, casinos, and basically anywhere else people stop going when they don't have surplus income. At least the ADP stats have been shown to be pretty reliable, and I bet that's where investors start looking now instead of the BLS.
States handle their own unemployment programs so, no matter what BLS says, if those claims are up it means ppl lost their jobs. The federal government can't fudge those numbers bc the states provide them and would see if they've been altered - an even worse scandal if it happens.
Sadly scandals are only worth what the media is willing to invest in reporting on them, and our media has already decided that Republicans can’t do anything wrong. But to your point, at least investors will have other ways of getting the data.
