1st day back at church in 15 days. I’ve been ill with Covid & missed the past 2 services. It’s a joy to be welcomed back & taking Eucharist. Tonight, off to Compline & resume my regular rhythm of worship & to the work I’ve been sent out to do — which is, AFAIK is to be good, kind & not an asshole.
And now today I tested positive. Fortunately I wore a mask throughout. But this has been a feature of my 16 days in isolation — negatives and then positive
This is not unusual. Viral reservoirs can keep leaking for twenty days after onset or more. Call it a month to be safe. Many much sympathies that you're stuck in this situation. D:
I’m periodically an asshole, & I think I am uneven at being good & kind, but I think I’m doing better. Recognising other people’s shortcomings that I see in myself is a start Being so poorly socialised, I’m only now learning to listen more, better, deeper. I’ve let some folks very close to me down
Going off our interactions, I'd second the opinion that you're doing better. In the face of something scary, you didn't lash out, but remained kind and patient with me.
